HOW DO LAB DIAMONDS COMPARE WITH MINED DIAMONDS?

Lab-grown diamonds, like mined diamonds, share the same exceptional beauty and durability. They possess identical physical, chemical, and visual characteristics as those mined from the earth.

Both types of diamonds are structurally identical, composed of pure carbon crystals that form under immense pressure and heat. Lab-grown diamonds exhibit the same brilliance, sparkle, and scintillation as mined diamonds, making them indistinguishable to the naked eye. Not even gemologists can tell them apart with the naked eye - they need equipment to do so.

BOTH LAB CREATED AND MINED DIAMONDS:

-Are made of the same mineral, carbon, and share the same DNA

-Measure 10 on the MOHS scale of hardness.

-Grown in their own way with one of a kind inclusions and patterns.

-Are graded in the same way - in accordance with the GIA’s 4 C’s - Clarity, Cut, Colour and Carat.

-Come with certification and an inscription on the girdle to identify the diamond - the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) has been grading lab diamonds since 2007.
