A remarkable 2.3ct Natural Chrome Tourmaline Cabochon sits within concentric rings of gold, elevated above the same substantial braided band inspired by the elaborate woven hairstyles of ancient Rome. Bold in scale and rich in colour, the smooth cabochon brings a sense of softness to Livia’s commanding form.

There is something distinctly ancient about the cabochon. It is one of jewellery’s oldest forms of gem cutting, favoured since antiquity for its smooth, rounded form.
